Different Chains, Bezels, and even Designs!

Make Pendants for birthday presents, Christmas, back-to-school gifts, hostess gift, or just to say "I think you are special"

...give some hand-crafted love-:)

Make them yourself or email me or stop by Past and Present in West Jefferson and I will make them for you-send me a scaled photo if you have something special in mind!

Well, a little while back I posted about making pendants.  You can see the original post here where I tell you all about my humble attempts at making pendants...which DID end up looking pretty cool!

Yeah, I am still excited that I MADE something -thanks to the great tutorial I originally found at HouseofJoyfulNoise..I love her blog!  And do you know how amazingly kind and gracious she is?  No, for real!  She took the time to write me after my first pendant post---she was my first comment-and a sincer one at that!  I heart House of Joyful Noise!

Just an update:

I found some copper and antique bronze bezels AND some different chains!  They.  Are.  BEEAUTIFUL!!

So, I had been using the silver bezel and chain- see them above?

But, I found these! at sunandmooncraftkits.com...

If you can tell-I know, you're trying not to envy my photography skills- the chain in the forefront is the silver ball chain? I had used in the past.  The middle clasp is part of the bronze chain and the last clasp there is the antique bronze one.

Pendant Chain Love:

  1. The silver chain is very casual -you can alternate the length of necklace
  2. The antique bronze and copper chains have clasps!  Yeah!!!  You can still alter the chain length AND! they are-well-actually chain links...hmm,,,
  3. To me, there is a definite coolness factor with my new find-depending on what pendant you use, you can have a cool retro or vintage or steampunk or laid back classy look going on.

Tips:

  1. Sun and Moon Craft Kits have matching bezels for the copper and antique bronze chains.
  2. I searched the web, and they seemed to have the best selection and best prices.
  3. Not only that, but I was also able to purchase downloadable PDFs of some cool, already sized, pictures.
  4. When trimming your pictures-if you don't have a one inch circle punch-be sure to NOT trim too, too close to the glass or it will appear as if the glass doesn't fill the bezel completely..does that make sense?

see the photo paper -dollar store, folks-with the circle pictures (everthing is laid on top of it in this pic.)  Sun and Moon sells these!  Lots of different ones!  Woohoo!  Now I don't have to figure out how to use Photo Shop just yet!
