| Up close the difference is obvious. Otherwise, you might be like my husband...and. never. notice. nope. not ever. |
This was so hard! I wanted a color that didn't make the room even darker, and! I needed a paint color that didn't have even the slightest undertone of red- didn't need anything looking cherry-er than it already was!
You'd think there is no difference unless you could see the before, during, and after. I'm so pleased. It really looks so clean!
Tip: remember to take your carpet into account. Start at the floor. Make sure your color will match your flooring. If you ever found a perfect color only to find something just wasn't right once it was on the walls, it may be because your paint color clashed with your floor color.
Tip again: it is worth it! Buy sample pots and use them. Leave them in different places in the room to get a feel for the light throughout the room during different hours of the day. I PROMISE you, grey can turn green and tan will turn pink. It's a terrible, oh-please-no kind of feeling.
Actually, every color has a root color. EPIPHANY!!!! If you have a fan of all the colors you can trace it back to the root color. Like the grey you are looking at might have a blue undertone or it might have red undertone. You can pretty much figure that out before you even bring a sample home. Ask the Lowe's girl or guy if you can't figure it out.
So I've heard. ;)
