DIY: Make Your Own Framed Chalkboards

framed chalkboards...so much fun to make!..

that i made four!

and there are so many fun details you can add...the one in the background is simply wrapped once with jute.  The one in the foreground took a little (umm, lot) longer because I bedazzled the hanging thingy...I think it turned out pretty cute!

  okay, maybe this doesn't look like much to some of you, but I was kinda proud I figured out how to make this here.  It's supposed to be jute flowers and black roses...which i guess is somewhat morose, but i liked the felt and jute, the texture and colors together...

 this one was an oopsy, but it might be my fav...see the rope knot at the top?  that is because i was trying to screw a hanger in the top, and i guess i didn't know when to stop because i screwed it right into the front of the frame...

industrious?  me? well, yes.  yes i am.  i just used my trusty jute, pulled (tugged, twisted, licked, wiggled...ok.  seriously finagled) it through the hole... and walaaah!
