Tween Room Remodel

So, have you been thinking about updating your teen's room? Well, because I can't have enough on my plate, that's exactly what I decided needed to be done-like, now. No, I couldn't just wait until homeschool was smoothly underway or even until we got fully unpacked from our summer spent in NC.

So, while I'm not even near being done, here is a sneak preview. I'll give you a play-by-play soon.

Just know this. If you EVER need reminding how blessed, how wonderful your teen is, how awesome they are...

Paint. Their room.

Horizontal stripes.

Yup.

Trust me on this one.

Those stripes take some serious patience-and lots of pencil marks. I had lots of time to remind myself exactly why I chose stripes -horizontal stripes- on a what? 20 foot long wall?

'Cause I love that girl. That's why.

That's all I've got for now. I'll have some learn-by-doing tips for you ASAP.

I've just got to get/make two drum hanging lights to go over a set of Ikea desks that extend across that entire wall. You can see one in a pic-used s a catch-all at that particular moment.

You can see a little of what is to come with that aqua wall on the right.
